The wait in our hospital is long too. But it is determined by the urgency of your illness, not whether or not you slipped the nurses some cash. If you try to pay, they would take it as an insult and put you to the end of the line. What happened to pride? Doesn't any vietnamese have it anymore?
I'm still shocked that schools and doctors in VN accepts monies from students and patients for quicker services. That is called TIPS, which stands for To Insure Prompt Service. Tips are for taxi drivers, restaurant waiters and waitresses, hair stylists, etc, not for educators and doctors who are in the business of nuturing and saving lives. If I try to pay my school principals a gift to get my kids into a class, I would be kicked out very fast. And if she accepts it she would be fired on the spot. Professionals consider tips an insult. That is not to say that bribery does not exist in America. It does, just not at that basic level. Education and health care are the most basic human rights of American. Europeans are even better. They have free public college and free healthcare.
Yea... you want to get some gov docs done properly at UBND? Better bribe them. You comes back to VN and going through custom? Better bribe them. You want your kids to be taken care of? Better bribe the teachers(no matter what, accept money outside of source of income is bribery). You go to the hospital or your family members are in pain? GOTTA bribe them FAST!!! or they leave you their til near dead.... In the U.S. I believe bribery for most profession would be persecuted by laws. VN need to enforce theirs, else every single profession would be corrupted.
I have to sleep 8 hours a day... and it is never enough.... i hate waking up late...
I think young people today need a lot to make them get up and go. Vietnamese parents have been overprotected their kids for such a long time so it's need a lot more than just a book to encourage people to travel. I used to be a sheltered child until I move to overseas. Just look around you there are lot of young people don't know how to cook, how to look after themselves, don't know how to plan their life or life on a budget. Just my opinion, if the media didn't make such a big deal about the books then young people won't buy and read it. We all know that reading books is not a habit for Vietnamese nowadays. People only buy and read something consider fashion and trendy, Lê Vân yêu và sống book is an example. Blaming Huyền and her books can harm young kids is very stretch. If they find inspiration in travelling after read her books then good on them. Instead of attacking Huyen, parents should talk to their kids more about the reality of travelling and the dangers out there. Why make such a big deal about a travel books? Erotic books or violent books have negative impact on young kids yet they are widely available on net.
Just jump in and tease Rozen. That is always current. Tell me your opinion on huyen chip. I'm curious.
Another thing I can do with my phone is throwing it away when I quarrel w my boyfriend to show my aggresive power. That's why my Samsung galaxy spoiled last time :)). Jkd. With my phone, i downloaded Candy Crush to play also. Im at level 410 of Candy Crush already. Kaka.
Yes, quynhu. VN education system does not allow for creativity. We create worker bees, not leaders. My son's principal just selected him for a leadership class. She called to inform us yesterday. 6th grade. Can you believe that? I am blessed. Wish the same for you all in VN Someday.
Yes, VN's education system needs to change. But the bottom line is education is not in the best interest of communism. Look at China, iinformation is still censored because government needs to have control over people, can't let people get too smart. I'm not saying US is corruption free, or government is better, but I am saying I am free to consider my facts ànd form my opinion. Nobody will arrest me for saying I don't like Obama. Until communism is changed, it is hard to educate VN youth.
I brought my children a few days ago, I did not see differences. The toys are mostly made in China. Anyway, I bought some vietnamese traditional toys : lantern, đèn ông sao. Besides, I want my children enjoy mid-autumn atmostphere. But if you bring your son there today or tomorow, It would be much crowded because It's weekend.
How are you guys today ?Today is Friday and tomorrow is weekend .... one more week has passed ... I still seeking a job.So boring ! I've never thought that I would be in this situation
Because they want to practice speaking too.
Alright folks, let get back to business. Anyone favor a skype chat group again? Besides small talks, we need to raise 1 interesting topic every week so people can discuss. Of course the correction will still be made.
