Ví dụ: nâng lương cơ bản lên 15 USD 1 giờ, trong khi ai đi làm cũng biết công ty có quỹ lương cố định, tùy theo lợi nhuận. Lẽ ra để thì trường quyết định giá thì lại đặt ra lương cơ bản cao ngất, như vậy cứ 3 người sẽ có 1 người ra đi (hiện giờ lương cơ bản khoảng 9-12 USD tùy bang). Cái video đầu tiên, Clinton phát biểu khi đang lên tiếng phản đối một đề xuất amendment (tu chính) lên Hiến pháp ở Thượng viện nhằm cấm same-sex marriage. Lập luận của bà là việc công nhận hay cấm same-sex marriage nên do mỗi bang quyết định và Hiến pháp không nên quy định việc cấm same-sex marriage. Cần lưu ý là trong thời điểm đó phần lớn dân số Mỹ cũng phản đối same-sex marriage, có nghĩa là mấy chục triệu người sau đó cũng flip-flop trong vấn đề này.

Là bởi vì Trump và Hillary đang cố gắng court vote từ cộng đồng LGBT. Cả Trump và Hillary có một record giống nhau về cộng đồng này. đó là cả hai đều... chống lại same sex marriage. Bernie Sanders rất được lòng cộng đồng này vì những năm đầu thập niên 90s, khi mà tổ chức y tế thế giới mới loại bỏ việc đồng tính là một căn bệnh, nhưng nhiều người trên thế giới, kể cả mỹ lúc đó (thậm chí là cả bây giờ) vẫn xem đồng tính là một căn bệnh, Bernie ngay thời gian đó đã cởi mở đến mức tuyên bố ông support gay marriage. Trong khi bà Hillary tận đầu năm 2000s cũng còn quyết định chống. Tổng kết lại: Mấy cái "tố cáo" buộc tội Bill và Hillary Clinton "tham nhũng" vì dám nhận tiền lúc phát biểu khi là private citizen thực chất là một mớ innuendo vô lý và vô bằng chứng (nếu không muốn nói là double standard trắng trợn) nhưng lại được feed rất nhiệt tình từ phía fan Trump, GOP và đám Bernie or Bust. Nó bất chấp sự thật rằng việc nhận tiền để phát biểu khi là private citizen là hoàn toàn hợp pháp, và nhà Clinton cũng hoàn toàn minh bạch chuyện đó khi công khai hơn 30 năm tax return của mình, và bất chấp việc nhà Clinton đã donate gần 15 triệu USD cho charity (most to the Clinton Foundation, but Bill and Melinda Gates as well as Mark Zuckerberg donate the most to their own foundations too).
