I don't think anyone here dare to throw stones at you. I just don't understand your rationale. We prefer peaceful atmosphere here, so if you want to find, this topic might not be a good choice. Most of us are non-native English speaker, so we might don't understand exactly the background for individual word, so it's common for asking question and debating in order to find out the best answer. Based on your words and abbreviation, I guess your English is better than most of people here, it will be so good if you are pleased to teach us somethings rather than starting a fight.
@ngoc: I agree with most of what you said, but according to Oxford Dictionary, law is uncountable if it refers to the general system of rules in a country. I am not sure that's what you meant. @everybody: hey guys, do you know how to turn off Telex type? Please show me how since it is so annoying when you type in English.
I see that everybody has different ways to learn English, and I think most of us don't have problem with grammar and writing. So let's talk about listening and reading. For me, I like to watch TV shows with English subtitles to practice these skills. It might be hard at first but it helps a lot. I recommend TV shows over movies because TV shows contain more regular sayings/ idioms/ tradition and it doesn't require much time (30 - 45 mins).

Believe me, after learn (studying) German and Spain, I still wonder why I did complain about English grammar many years ago .
In addition, I think one of the way (S) to effectively learn language is set interesting questions and answer them. Your brain always like question and highly response to it . O:-) SO:-)
Thanks, personally I think I am not good at English. Maybe we have different perception of studying. I am learning from ur responses too . No one wants to fight but pp will respond to ur action. If u prefer to 'according to something", I say continue doing that ;), take it easy, if if I do not say " aggressive", do not judge me based on what u interpret O:-), anw good topic.
Same here, I used to think that most of us do not have problems with writing and grammatical stuffs coz we have been repeating those things so many times in different sorts of exams, from primary school to uni, it becomes a stereotype among members of our community...but I was wrong. We did ( or someone else is doing) study so many complicated tenses, rules and chunk of words etc...its good, but, more than enough, many of them are not necessary, or out of date, but there 's a dearth of teaching on a very basic rule of English: the rule of thinking that forms the way of organising words together, making a simple sentence, a nice and easy way of expressing our ideas. After having many problems with writing and grammatical stuffs in the first semester, I joined a gramma course again and realised 'grammar' also means how to make sense of words...I just hope the ways of teaching English will be changed, at least simple but more realistic
